There is no bad shingle, all shingles are made to meet certian standards, You can get a 20,30,35,40,50 year or even a lifetime shingle. Each year of waranty would be what the shingle companys say would be a better shingle. There are many different styles to choose from. But there is no bad shingles, the shingle choice should be based on what you are looking for as far as looks, lasting and colors.
